Bush & Wildlife Holiday in Tanzania
Upon arrival, you will be picked up by your designated Driver Guide from JRO Airport to Arusha (approx. 45 min to 1 hour drive). This is also an opportunity for you to get to know your guide, as you will probably have many questions for him regarding the safari, and Tanzania in general!
Your Driver Guide will drop you off at The Bay Leaf Boutique Hotel for rest, with drinks refreshment on the house!
If you are arriving in the daytime, we also include a Complimentary City Tour in Arusha, to take you to the Maasai Market, where there are many shops with local art, decor, fabrics and jewelries, and time-permitting, take you to the Shanga Shop near Arusha, a wonderful community project that support local Tanzanian with disabilities to empower themselves with manufacturing skills! If you are interestsed in seeing local coffee plantation, we can also arrange that as a complimentary activity in the afternoon.
Later in the afternoon, or early evening, you will meet with our Representative and Driver Guide at your hotel for safari briefing and to address any questions that you may have before your safari!
Finally, after a long flight, and some sightseeing in the city, you will enjoy a fullcourse dinner with delicious desserts on the house! (The Bay Leaf Boutique Hotel has one of the best restaurants in town!)
Rest & Overnight at The Bay Leaf Boutique Hotel (Breakfast next morning is included)
By 6-7am, wake up for an early morning, full breakfast at the Bay Leaf. There are many options to choose from, ranging from French Toast to customizable omelette, chocolate croissant, with Belgian Hot Chocolate, or any other drinks you prefer!
After breakfast, between 7am to 8am, our Driver Guide with be picking you up from The Bay Leaf Boutique Hotel to start your first safari day!
The drive from Arusha to Tarangire is approximately 2.5 hours, and you will have the option to stop by a local supermarket, "Shoprite" to purchase anything you think you would need along the way. We provide bottled water that is kept cool in the fridge for you, but if you wish to add any other drinks of your preference, you can do so before you start your journey!
You will arrive at Tarangire National Park at approximately 10am to 11am, and you can start your late morning game drive inside the park. Be prepared to be awed by large herds of elephants, against the backdrop of an enthralling landscape consisting of majestic baobab trees, which are beautifully bare in the dry season, and lush green in the wet season.
After about 1-2 hours of morning game drive, you can stop at the park's designated picnic site for lunchbox, prepared by the Bay Leaf. Enjoy your lunch with the magnificent views of Tarangire and the tight-knit elephant families from a distance.
Shortly after lunch, you will resume your game drive inside the park. Your driver guide will gladly explain the history of the park, as well as any information you’d like to find out about the resident animals!
By 5-6pm, start driving back to Maramboi Tented Camp to rest and look through the amazing photos you’ve captured today! Rest, enjoy dinner and overnight at camp.
Wake up for early morning breakfast by 5:30am to 6am, or leave for breakfast box!
Start your first morning in Tarangire with a sunrise safari, and find yourself amidst beautiful baobab trees as well as large herds of elephants!
For lunch, you have the option of having packed lunchboxes from the lodge at the picnic site, or, to return to lodge for Hot Lunch!
By 2pm, you will start driving to Ngorongoro Exploreans (approx. 1.5 hours) for rest, dinner & overnight.
Like the other national parks, Ngorongoro Crater is at its best in the early morning hours, as the animals will be most active and energized, and it is also recommended to leave early in order to avoid the day crowds in the Crater!
By 5:00am, you can wake up for early morning breakfast, or leave with breakfast box at approximately 05:30am. Your our Driver Guide will pick you up, and head for the gate at 06:00 sharp to be one of the first vehicles on the ground (time and traffic permitting)!
Upon entering the Crater, you will be in awe of the world’s largest unbroken caldera. The Crater is a home to a variety of animals that share the vast space of the caldera, about 30,000 in numbers. You will be delightfully surprised to see zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, alongside the predator animals such as hyenas, lions, and occasional cheetahs and leopards, as if dwelling peacefully in the shared paradise.
Be prepared to be swept away speechless by the Garden of Eden of East Africa! Like the other national parks, Ngorongoro Crater is at its best in the early morning hours, as the animals will be most active and energized, and it is also recommended to leave early in order to avoid the day crowds in the Crater!

By 1-2pm, you will start driving to Central Serengeti (approx. 2.5 to 3 hours) for a sunset safari.
Enjoy Dinner, Overnight and Rest at Osupuko Serengeti.
On your first morning in the Serengeti, we recommend leaving the camp by 05:30am, with packed breakfast box, or you can also return to camp for hot breakfast by 9-10am. This is when the animals are at their best, hungry and ready to hunt for their first kill of the day. You wouldn’t want to miss the early morning Serengeti action!
This is the day you start your journey in the famous “endless plains”, and the largest National Park in the Northern Circuit, with an impressive variety of the exquisite Big Cats that roam about in the area, notably lions, cheetahs and leopards. This is also where the migration takes place all year round, and a chance to be amidst more than 1 million wildebeest and uncountable herds of zebras!
After a full morning game drive, return to camp for hot lunch, or, you can also choose to have packed lunchboxes at the picnic site.
And as you will be staying inside the park, you will be cruising through the Serengeti plains until sunset, as you watch the sky slowly transform into a magnificent and dazzling kind of orange. This will be the first time you witness the sublime Serengeti sunset, and you’ll feel right at home, in one of the most beautiful places on earth.
You will be arriving at Osupuko Serengeti in time for a drink refreshment and towels to clean the Serengeti dust you’ve collected from the day. Enjoy Dinner & Overnight at Camp.
On your last morning in the Central Serengeti, you can still leave the camp by 05:30am, with packed breakfast box, or leave after hot breakfast at lodge.
By 10am (or after hot lunch), start driving to Northern Serengeti (approx. 2.5 hours), with game drive en-route.
On this day, you will be starting your game drive in the Northern Serengeti, where the migration takes place between July to September, where an estimated 1.3 million wildebeests & large herds of zebras cross the Mara River, known as the Great Migration.
After game drive in the late afternoon or early evening, return to camp for rest and refresh your safari notes for the day.
Enjoy dinner and relax by the campfire afterwards (weather-permitting).
Overnight at Buffao Luxury Camp (Suite Tents).
On your second full day in the Northern Serengeti, we recommend leaving the camp by 05:30am, with packed breakfast box, and start your morning game drive!
After a full morning game drive, return to camp for hot lunch, or, you can also choose to have packed lunchboxes at the picnic site.
By 1-2pm, you have the option to stay back at Camp to relax, rest, or to continue with your game drive until sunset. As the sun is quite strong in the early afternoon, it would also be a good time to take a short break before your afternoon game drive until sunset.
After game drive in the late afternoon or early evening, return to camp for rest, or stop by the lounge tent and library to refresh your safari notes for the day.

On your last morning in the Northern Serengeti, we recommend leaving the camp by 05:30am, with packed breakfast box, and enjoy an early morning game drive inside the park, before start preparing to leave the Serengeti for Arusha!
By 09:00am, start driving to the Kogatende Airstrip to connect to flight to ARUSHA (DEP 10:00am ARR 12:10pm). You will then connect to your flight to ZNZ-Zanzibar (DEP 12:30pm ARR 14:00pm).
Upon arrival at the airport in Zanzibar, you will be picked up by our ground operator in Zanzibar, and transfer to your hotel, Hideaway Nungwi.
As you will be staying on an all-inclusive basis, you will enjoy and relax your time by the beach area.
